Celebrate the Year of the Dragon!

History will come, alive at this free event, when a traditional Chinese lion dance will be presented to celebrate the Year of the Dragon.

Chinese believe the lions will preserve peace and tranquility in the community and prevail over all evil to bring joy and happiness in the new year.

Enjoy a traditional firecracker display after the lion dance, along with hot tea and fortune cookies provided by the Weaverville Joss House Association. Chinese New Year crafts along with tours of the temple will also be offered during the event.
