Nora Cooper
Program Specialist
Nora Cooper is a Program Specialist who works in Grants Administration for United Way of Northern California. Before joining the organization, Nora previously worked as the Operations Center Manager for ALERTCalifornia, and also has a background as a data analyst, educator, and researcher.
Nora’s path to joining UWNC was formed by years of experience in international spaces, with an upbringing in two countries and various regions of the US. As an adult, Nora has also lived in France and China, and has learned multiple languages, including Mandarin, Spanish, and some Swedish and South Sámi to reflect part of her heritage. Nora’s background and international scope of thinking have made her passionate about environmental issues, cultural preservation, and equitable access to public healthcare and infrastructure. In her free time, Nora also paints, writes, and goes on adventures in foot, by boat, and on her motorcycle.
