Executive Assistant & Communications Specialist
AbbyAnn LoCascio joined UWNC in May 2022. She first held the position of Communications Specialist, responsible for press releases and e-newsletters to external stakeholders, then combined this position with the role of Executive Assistant, providing administrative support to the CEO, Larry Olmstead, and others on the Senior Leadership Team. She was promoted to Marketing and Communications Manager in 2024, and in this role, oversees the marketing and communications strategies of the agency.
AbbyAnn is from the Chicago area, where she went to school at The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She holds two bachelor’s degrees, one in Communication and the other in Global Studies, with a focus on Poverty Intervention. AbbyAnn’s hobbies include exploring nature, CrossFit, coffee, and petting cats when she encounters them on the street.
